Special Response Security
Security Positions:
Our clients require the best out of us; therefore, we require the best out of you.
We need flexible individuals who not only can operate independently at times, but also work well as a team. We seek innovative, professional, service-driven team players that are also dependable and reliable. We look for excellent written and verbal skills along with great judgment and the ability to follow directions “down to a T.” Special Response Security is a company designed for proactive professionals that are able to provide and maintain a higher standard of service. We expect our representatives to help the security industry grow and perform in a direction that represents a positive image.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and meet all requirements necessary to obtain and maintain a security license through the Texas Department of Public Safety Regulatory Services Division. This includes successfully completing all required screening processes, such as background checks, FBI fingerprinting, drug testing, and any applicable evaluations required by the state.
Candidates must possess valid Texas identification, a Social Security card, and a minimum of three years of verifiable work history within the United States.
Strong communication skills are essential. Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently to ensure clear interaction with clients, staff, and the public. We require verifiable background and employment history and maintain standards that ensure all personnel assigned to client properties are properly vetted and accountable.
Applicants must also have a valid driver’s license, a working phone, and reliable transportation. Availability for weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts is expected, particularly for new hires.
Special Response Security maintains strict hiring standards. We do not accept applicants with felony convictions or dishonorable military discharges.
DPS-RSD statement: Please be advised under the Private Security Act (Occ. Code Chapter 1702) and Administrative Rule 35.4 (37 Tex. Admin. Code 1), a criminal conviction may disqualify you from a registration, commission or license under the Act. You may wish to review Rule 35.4’s list of disqualifying offenses and the related periods of ineligibility, available on the department’s website at http://www.dps.texas.gov/rsd/psb/index.htm (follow the link to Administrative Code). You also have a right to request from the department a criminal history evaluation letter under Occupations Code Section 53.102
To increase the standards in the industry, we must begin with the applicants we all hire.
While the State of Texas establishes minimum training requirements for Level II (non-commissioned) licensing, we view those standards as a starting point rather than a measure of full preparedness.
At Special Response Security, our minimum expectation is that all applicants have completed, or are actively enrolled in, a Level III (Commissioned) training course. This ensures that each officer has received a more comprehensive foundation in areas such as legal authority, use of force, situational awareness, and professional conduct.
Applicants who have not yet completed the Level III course may still be considered, provided they can demonstrate proof of enrollment and complete the course within 30 days of hire.
Our goal is to ensure that every officer representing our company has received a higher level of training and is better prepared to operate in real-world environments—regardless of whether they intend to work in an armed or unarmed capacity.
We thank you for your interest in our security company. Current openings are listed on Indeed.com
